This book was a delight to design. Some projects teach you so much and you get more out of them at times than what you give; this was one such project. It was a long, tedious and fruitful journey of discovery about my motherland. This book explores the extraordinary crafts and its traditions, and pays homage to the remarkable craftsmen that give Pakistan its magnificent living heritage. This book is nothing short of a journey into the most beautiful areas of the country and the rhythms of everyday life are reflected in these objects of great beauty and value.

When the design of this book started, the project was overwhelming as the author had 25,000+ images that needed to be sorted through. What goes in, what stays out were decisions that were made not only on the basis of technicality but also emotions and experiences.

This personal journey of 35,000 kilometres and passion of the author is what makes the book extra special.
